The Wedding of Kayla & Milad
If there’s anything we’ve learnt from Kayla and Milad’s day, it’s that they definitely know how to liven up the party and go all crazy! A tip from the Iceberg team to any mutuals of the couple, definitely bring them to a party.
Situated all the way up north, we had Kayla and Milad preparing for their big day at Joondalup Resort which boasted stunning views and we thank the heavens everyday for the lovely weather throughout the day.
As always, the day started with lots of time on the makeup and hair chair, all executed beautifully by Jasmineleemua, Rubia.sh and HairbyTrudykydd. It was just the start of the day but the bridesmaids couldn’t help but tear up at the sight of their bride and who could blame them, am I right? Let’s just say, this wasn’t the last time someone was crying throughout the day.
Whilst the bridal room was full of emotions, the groom’s room was full of laughter and silliness. For context, Milad was constantly dancing, vibing, admiring himself and just passing kisses to everyone in the room. With his suit from SuitVault, Milad was looking dashing as he gave us a few iconic quotes such as:
“Let’s get fucked up bitches!”
“Don’t be a little bitch”
“Don’t cry”
Unfortunately, as Kayla stepped out in her beautiful gown from Perla Luxury Bridal with matching heels from Betts Shoes, Milad had a stream of tears down his face so his pep talk definitely didn’t help but we can’t blame him. As soon as Aisha the Celebrant pronounced them husband and wife, Kayla and Milad also participated in the Sugar Rubbing ritual where a large cloth is lifted above the couple and large cones of sugar are rubbed over the cloth wishing sweetness into the couple’s life, so here’s to a sweet life ahead.
To ensure they would never forget every moment of the day, our team whisked them away to ensure they got their money's worth with lots of photos and videos! Our favourite moment would be riding on a golf buggy to take photos of the beautiful couple and because we didn’t want them to be jealous, we got them riding on the golf buggy too!
Now don’t even get us started on the reception! As soon as the bridesmaids danced in rocking their gowns from Billy J Boutique, we knew the party was going to be lit. Additionally, the venue was beautifully decorated with florals and hanging lights by Art De Fleurid which had the entire room in awe. Before that though, we had speeches from friends and family which got Milad crying again but thankfully, the night was still young and it was time for cake and dancing! Dressed in a new gown by Tuscany Bridal and jewellery from Stelios Jewellers, Kayla and Milad were more than ready to cut into their magnificent six tiered cake from Annettes Heavenly Cakes.
With food and speeches out of the way, Kayla and Milad were at the dancefloor ready for their first dance accompanied by the violinist and saxophone from Varley Strings and with the fog and fireworks from Northern Lights WA surrounding the couple, it was truly magical and straight out of a movie.
To end the night, Kayla and Milad were pulling out mad moves on each other and with the help of Phynia the Belly Dancer, everyone was on their way to a Belly Dancing career. Even with our cameras, the Iceberg team was secretly shaking our hips to the lively music from DJ Aslan. Even if you weren’t a fan of dancing, everything was covered with a huge Mr. and Mrs. light up figure from Vintage Letters AU to take photos against.
We sure hope that we created unforgettable memories for Kayla and Milad just as they did for us!
