2022 Wedding Trends
What time is it? Summertime, it’s our vacation! (if you don’t get that reference, we can’t be friends). Anyways, it’s wedding season time and I bet you want all the deets of all the latest trends so listen up!
Garden/ Outdoor Weddings
Ever since the pandemic, outdoor weddings have been all the rage due to restrictions in indoor settings. With nature as your backdrop, it’s easy to work with it to turn it into something magical, modern or even rustic. Do take note of the weather though and have a few gazebos around for shelter just in case.
Another alternative are backyard weddings which have especially seen a boom in numbers due to COVID-19. A major factor to consider is how much you’ll save by having your wedding in your own backyard. With wedding venues costing an average of $13,901, a wedding backyard definitely sounds appealing in my opinion. Not only is it budget friendly, it’s convenient and intimate. Invite a few friends and family over and have a great intimate outdoor wedding. Do consider your neighbours though and don’t go too crazy and get black out drunk.
2. Floral Arrangements
Who doesn’t love a bit of florals to spark up your hay fever, am I right? Keep the sneezes in!
2022 is seeing BIG and BOLD flower arrangements such as hanging flowers or extravagant floral arches or even statement table floral arrangements to brighten up your wedding day and venue. For added sentimental value or meaning, keep all the flowers you’ve received from your partner and dry them to later use in your wedding. Additionally, there are even zodiac themed floral arrangements if you’re a big horoscope gal.
3. Alternative wedding dresses
You’ve seen and heard of it everywhere but out with old and in with the new, brides have been loving more non-traditional dresses. Alternatives could be mixing both traditional and non-traditional concepts into one dress as shown in the pictures below. A major trend this year has definitely been Bridgerton themed dresses such as empire-waist gowns and square necklines with dainty and delicate jewellery pieces.
Embrace the queen or king that you are and go crazy! Floral chandeliers, extravagant dresses, mountains for venues, it’s your one day to shine so shine bright like a diamond~
