How We Capture Pre-Wedding Shoots

It’s three months before your wedding. You and your soon to be are at Hyde Park, surrounded by the lush greenery and maple trees. Strolling together through nature with hands interlocked, hugging tight, laughing and giggling when you stare into each other’s eyes. It’s a relaxing day, just for you two to enjoy each other’s company before your big wedding day. You are so immersed in the moment that you forget there’s a photographer there! That’s what a pre-wedding shoot feels like with Iceberg Media. We want you to enjoy the shoot and feel relaxed in a beautiful setting. From your first consultation to the shoot, we closely work with you to ensure your pre-wedding shoot is beautiful and how you want it.

1. Consultation

When we meet to book your wedding with us, we have a chat about where you would like to have your pre-wedding shoot. We discuss themes and styles, location ideas, and everything in-between! For location ideas, check out our blog on top pre-wedding and wedding locations in Perth.

We know so many couples are not used to having their photos taken, so we usually capture a combination of posed and candid shots. You can choose to have a simple shoot; one outfit and one location, or something more complex; multiple outfits and locations.

If you are not sure want to wear for your shoot, don’t stress! We will work on the details and give you some suggestions.

2. Scheduling the Date

In your consultation, we also look at a timeframe of when you would like to do your pre-wedding shoot. We usually suggest scheduling your pre-wedding shoot for around three months prior to your wedding day. This can be booked during your consultation or at a later date.

3. The Pre-Wedding Shoot

You pre-wedding sessions is the perfect time to capture the special memories you share as a newly engaged couple. We get to take beautiful, natural shots on one or many locations. Usually, pre-wedding shoots with multiple locations still happen all on the same day. However, it may vary from client to client depending on time allocation.

Pre-wedding sessions are also a great opportunity for us to get to know one another in a casual setting. You will be able to see how we work and get comfortable front of the camera before your wedding day.

After your pre-wedding shoot, it’s time for us to edit them, so they are ready for your use.
